Richard Shelby On The $700B Bailout ::

I've gotta say that I am happy about Shelby's position in opposing the financial industries run on us, the taxpayers, and our treasury. I'm happy to see at least a modicum of integrity and honor from our senator!

Tim Spires said...: I certainly don't agree with much of the bail-out. But, seeing as I hope to go into I-banking, I feel a need for some sort of economic assistance. Perhaps I'm becoming a lunatic conservative with all their deregulation and bailout. Who knows :(; September 29, 2008 at 8:23 PM
Fred said...: It's not so much that I'm against the bailout package as I'm against as I am about the attempt to ram it down our throats with so little thought. The $700B figure was simply pulled out of thin air and no one knows the true cost of the program.

I recently finished Naomi Klein's "Shock Doctrine" and I see many elements of how other countries were manipulated financially in this package.
